Prevention methods come hand in hand with access to resources and education. Victims are more likely to be abused when they are in a rural area than they are in an urban area. This statistic suggests that isolation and lack of access is a contributing factor to DV.
One step would be to ensure that “awareness“ included help and support channels. More importantly, is to help remove the stigma behind reporting abuse.
