Below are some actionable steps we can take to advance immigrant rights and push back against unjust policies:

1. In order to save ourselves from repeating past mistakes or accepting the current status quo, let’s work towards a future rooted in a collective understanding of how we got here.

2. We must also push back on the false dichotomy that some immigrants are worthy of being here while others —often those who have had contact with our racist legal system— are not.

3. We need to advocate for an end of ICE arrests and detention, and for ICE to disentangle itself from local policing.

4. We must continue to be vigilant about bearing witness to, and documenting, ICE’s activities.
