In 1955, Claudette Colvin refused to give up her seat to a white passenger, nine months before Rosa Parks. As a result, she was sentenced to lifetime probation at the age of 15. Today, in her 80's, Ms. Colvin has yet to walk freely without this probation following her for over several decades.
