How many ppl benefited from this? In my work helping ppl convicted of federal drug crimes, I’ve legit never seen someone be charged of a federal offense for simple “possession of marijuana.” This may be another Biden half-measure that has little to no impact- just sounds good

While it won’t do much until it becomes legal federally, this is a good first step that does have impact—simple drug possession shouldn’t be a crime in the first place anyway.
You would hope that it could start a chain reaction to lower levels of government. But we haven't seen much of that. It is a very Biden thing to do. I would like to see him take more action on federal drug charges or make states have an intensive to but he probably will not.
