Here's a quote from my law textbook, If some of ya'all want to get oriented to a real reason this app is important and worth supporting. "For many of these private people, especially women, people of color or other relatively powerless people in society, video surveillance is the modern day white witness.” -Lolita Buckner Innis, Video Surveillance as White Witnesses, Ain’t I a Feminist Legal Scholar Too? (Sept. 30, 2012)

@RJ "Deke" Dieken what is the context of saying it’s a ”white” witness , sounds racist AF to me?
Video evidence is so important now a days. It is a useful tool for minorities and people who are underrepresented in the justice system. As you said, it is important to support the Reyets app since they give an easy access to film anything!
Video surveillance is so important because it captures exactly what happened and cannot be disputed. I agree, it is especially important for groups in society that are not often believed or protected.
Gives “credibility 🤦🏻♂️ It is what it is!
Thanks for sharing, in my opinion all citizens should be in the habit of documenting the public work of police in public places.
the power of filming the police, is evidenced in attempts around the country to try and pass restrictive laws.
