White people simply don't cause public safety concerns like other races do (being facetious). As least, that's the subliminal thinking of the police officers when they confront a group of protesters.
If that was black people, the shooting would have started before anyone ever made it in. The double standard is maddening.
If the people protesting and physically threatening harm to elected officials where any other color, there would be tanks , tear gas and bullets, this is double standards at its finest. It’s important that we use the outrage of this moment to drive more equitable enforcement. The law should not bend for some and break for others.
