The Biden administration is planning to speed up deportations for some migrant families who cross the US-Mexico border, the Department of Homeland Security said Monday.
Whether the virus was a main factor or not, I'm sure it was a factor nevertheless. The country's healthcare system had been overstrained for the past year and a half, and I'm sure medical offices are not feeling very open-minded about accepting migrant families as additional patients. That said though, there must be some accountability by the Dept. of Homeland Security to provide them some decree of medical and financial support. Just pushing them out of the country as fast as possible isn't humane, or even very sensible.
