If every person currently having a discrimination suit tried in court was told to move to another street, or district, or town, or state, or country, so that they would no longer face discrimination, those people would be not be able to live where they originally chose to live.
Sadly most of the courts have judges that have little to know understanding of how other countries and cultures function. Using your "hometown" USA as reference point of how the world operates does not work.
It is sad how Rodrigues fate is in the hand of a judge that has no knowledge of how if is being gay in Mexico: “The judge told Rodríguez if he relocated to a bigger city in Mexico, he would not face discrimination”
This is an extremely interesting case- really highlights the intersection between immigrant rights/policy and LGBTQ+ rights.
