Bridget Malcolm is finally speaking out about her traumatic modeling industry experiences — which she couldn't do any sooner because of her intense PTSD.
"By the age of 18, I'd lived in three countries alone. I traveled to all continents except for Antarctica. I'd been groomed by a much older man. I'd been sexually assaulted multiple times," Bridget revealed in a recent Instagram video.
this sadly doesn't surprise me. there's too many stories of the abuse of underage girls in the modeling industry, especially from the early 2000s. I hope conditions have improved as times have changed, but no doubt this type of mistreatment still exists today
The world of fame and glamour seems to be filled with such stories. There needs to be a process where victims can come out without being afraid.
