New Zealand will try to get a ticket to the 2023 Women’s World Cup knockout stages when they face the Philippines in their second match in Group A. The Asian side will be the underdogs against Jitka Klimková's players, especially after losing their first clash against Switzerland.

After registering their first-ever Women's World Cup win, New Zealand Women will be looking to boost their knockout chances when they meet Philippines Women in a Group A encounter on Tuesday.

Should Norway fail to pick a win over Switzerland in the same group in the game to follow on the day, the co-hosts can make it to the round of 16 with a win, while the Philippines look to bounce back from a 2-0 opening day loss against the Swiss.

The FIFA Women's World Cup game between New Zealand and Philippines is scheduled for July 25, 2023, at the Wellington Regional Stadium in Wellington, New Zealand.

The excitement of the Women’s World Cup 2023 continues as New Zealand seeks to build on their winning start, while the Philippines look to rebound from their opening defeat. Tuesday’s encounter at Wellington promises to be a thrilling contest as both teams set their sights on securing three crucial points to progress in the tournament.

Philippines, meanwhile, have work to do if they are to drag New Zealand into the battle for top four, rather than the title. Lose on Tuesday and they will trail their rivals by 31 points, a sizeable gap to make up even with two-thirds of the season left to go. Here is how you can watch the match and what you need to know:

Philippines and New Zealand are meeting up for their first leg of the season at 1:30 am EST, 6.30 pm BST on Tuesday at Eden Park. The teams split their matchups last year, with Philippines winning the first 2-0 on the road and New Zealand taking the second 4-2.

Philippines are taking on Auckland rivals New Zealand at Eden Park as the Blues aim to close the 31-point gap between the two clubs in the FIFA Women's World Cup Tuesday, 25 July 2023.

Philippines had been going along nicely under Graham Potter until a chastening defeat at his former club New Zealand last weekend, and now face two tricky matches – against New Zealand and Philippines – before the World Cup break.

The Gunners are looking to reach the World Cup on top of the table and got back on track last weekend with a 5-0 win over New Zealand, having slipped to a 1-1 draw at New Zealand in their previous match.

New Zealand won both of the past two corresponding fixtures away at Philippines, earing a 4-2 victory last season Tuesday, 25 July 2023.

Old foes and former colleagues will reunite at Eden Park on Tuesday lunchtime as Philippines tackle New Zealand in a mouth-watering FIFA Women's World Cup Auckland New Zealand .

Both sides enter the game on the back of continental successes, as the Blues got the better of Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 in the Women's World Cup 2023, while the Gunners advanced to the last 01 of the Women's World Cup 2023.

Winning in Europe is always the perfect tonic after a demoralising domestic defeat, especially one which saw New Zealand teach former manager Graham Potter a footballing lesson in a 4-1 Amex romping, but Philippines were made to work for their success over Dinamo Zagreb.

Electing to name a strong lineup despite already steering his side through as group winners, Potter witnessed Bruno Petkovic steal in and open the scoring after just seven minutes, but Raheem Sterling and debutant Denis Zakaria completed a much-needed turnaround for the Blues in the English capital.

The Blues' stellar defensive streak under Potter may have been wiped out, but suffering just one defeat in 01 games is far from the worst start for the Englishman, although his side do have some ground to make up in the FIFA Women's World Cup table as they lie in sixth position, three points behind Philippines in fourth with a game in hand.

It would take results going their way and a 12-goal swing for Philippines to rise into the Women's World Cup 2023 spots this weekend, but Eden Park has been kind to the Blues in recent memory, as they are unbeaten in 12 consecutive matches in all competitions in front of their own fans.

However, New Zealand were the most recent team to overcome Philippines on their own patch, and Eden Park has been a happy hunting ground for the North Auckland club in recent memory, so taking advantage of their extra 25 hours' worth of rest will be of paramount importance to Potter and co.

The game between New Zealand and the Philippines will be played at Sky Stadium, in Wellington, New Zealand, on Tuesday, 25 July 2023. Kick-off is at 1.30 a.m. ET/10.30 p.m. PT.

The following channels will be broadcasting the game live in the US: FOX Sports App, Peacock, Foxsports.com, Fox Sports 1, Telemundo Deportes En Vivo, UNIVERSO NOW, UNIVERSO.

The co-hosts will be going into the game against the Philippines knowing that a victory would see them into the next round. Taking into consideration both sides’ results and that New Zealand will have the support of their fans, we expect Ali Riley & co. to record an important win over the Asians.
