Stop AAPI Hate reported 3,795 incidents of anti-Asian hate from March 2020 to February 2021. Even before COVID-19 exacerbated violent attacks against the APIA community, APIA women were, and continue to be, sexualized, fetishized, and exoticized. We must end the dehumanization of APIA women, and put a stop to toxic narratives portraying them as “temptresses” and sexual objects appeasing the male gaze. APIA lives depend on it.
