Let’s face the facts: stories of missing Black people are being hidden from us. According to NPR, nearly 100,000 Black girls and women went missing in 2010. This silencing is unacceptable, and we must fight to bring them into the spotlight. News and media must be committed to anti-racism, and our government must recognize violence against the Black community as the crisis that it is. We’ve said it before, and we’ll keep saying it: BLACK LIVES MATTER.
