Bessie Blount Griffin was a nurse, physical therapist, and wartime inventor. She spent five years perfecting her feeding tube technology in her kitchen with household materials. She finally filed a patent in 1948, and elements of her invention are still being used in hospitals to this day. Her invention has saved countless lives over many decades!
