I agree, it is reassuring to see that the police are being held accountable for their actions that go against the law. I hope that the outcome of this suit influences other officers from committing unjust acts like the ones founded in this case.
This is both good and bad news. Good since the police were found "accountable", bad, because the punishment ($14M) comes out of the tax payers pocket.
